New collection

I am beginning work on a whole new collection! Named night walker this latest collection will combine new and old, whilst exploring the battle between all things natural and man made! He's just a little play I had with inks yesterday, now what to do with you... 

 

New designers taster!

This is a little peek at my degree show final collection! I have chosen a few different pieces for the new designers stand so the content differs slightly! But enjoy for now, let me know your thoughts?

New designers!

I am ecstatic to have been selected for new designers and today has been a brilliant day! The college stand as a whole got lots of interest from people from all walks of life, industry and students alike! Have really enjoyed watching people admire my work and just to see them take an interest has brought a smile to my face! Really sorry about the lack of photographs my phone camera has broken and desperately need to get it sorted! I have taken a lot on my digital camera so as soon as I return home I shall upload them all!

Stumbled upon something great . .

So i found these images all relating to my Urban Expressionist project. The images are so captivating they almost make my heart skip a little. The urban grit is almost unsettling yet so remarkably cool at the same time. I particularly love the bright neon cross which provides a flamboyent contrast to the overpowering dark night sky.

The simplicity of the colours and dusty pink detailing of the second image is of particular interest.

E n d o f a n E r a.

So i feel as though i have abandoned my blog for a while! I spend my days been so inspired by others blogs that i don't seem to post things on my own. I think blogging is a great way to gather a big heap of inspiration whilst also showcasing what you are all about. With  this in mind i am going to make a conscious and whole hearted effort to blog as often and as regularly as i can. Hopefully one day millions will be coming to my blog to get their fix!!

Love using pastel colours and watery hues alongside flashes of bright neon! I think these colours work beautifully alongside each other and go well alongside the mood for my project!

Urban Expressionism

URBAN EXPRESSIONISM: Title for final Major project. I want this project to be quite conceptual, focusing on the current recession and the working class of this present day. I am going to begin drawing this week and hope to create a mixutre of drawings some tight and linear whilst others are free and very expressive. For this project i have been inspired by street art and derelict buildings as well as more surburban and affluent areas in the North East.

Minor project hand in

My textiles 3rd year minor project has all been handed in!! Really happy with the results thought I would share some images of my work with you! I have completed a range of work based on my drawings at the beginning of the project! My main influences are urban landscapes and the natural environment! I love being expressive with colour and texture!

Design

I love the colour of this painting i have done and am excited to have it digitally printed! I use a lot of colour in my work and i think this works well with my theme.
